Our efforts can be summed up with three R’s. Renew. Our first obligation is to renew our understanding of the Scripture, Christian life, and the awe that develops within a congregation that renews its devotion to Jesus. It must mean a great deal to be a member of Parkview. Renew our commitment to doctrine and behavior fitting for God’s people. Redeem. The Christian is called to a redeemed existence. Redemption means to buy back, in this case from death and sin. The good news of Jesus Christ given to the church provides redemption to those who are without Jesus. Our renewal to the meaning of our faith provides redemption to the masses of lost souls. We will take the message of redemption to lost people through whatever means. Restore. Continual love and humility will make us a people who loves heartbroken and wayward people. Our calling is to restore those who repent and assist those who hurt. We ourselves have problems and all who the Lord sends will have problems. We will expect discipleship that focuses on restoring the wayward and challenging the sluggish to grow in love and humility.
